Em Harger (they/them/theirs) is an Emmy-nominated producer and cinematographer telling stories about social and environmental transitions. Currently, they are a Senior Producer on Insider’s News & Documentary team. Previously, Em worked at Studio B Films as the Lead Producer and The Center for Investigative Reporting as a Film Resident, as well as freelancing with a variety of editorial and commercial clients. In 2018, they were recognized as an Emerging Video Journalist by the Society of Professional Journalists Northern California chapter. Em was also awarded a grant from Glassbreaker Films to direct OUTSPOKEN, an intergenerational portrait of LGBTQ activism in West Virginia.
